Sometime you discover a beautiful corner just around your house. This is
why i love biking along the Erie canal. I post some information for the
one that live in the area of Rochester and love biking.
The Erie
Canal is a man-made waterway in New York that runs from Albany the
capital of New York state to Buffalo at Lake Erie, completing a
navigable water route from the Atlantic Ocean to the Great Lakes. It
was under construction from 1817 to 1832 and once finished it reduced
the costs of transporting goods dramatically. Replaced
by the New York State Barge
Canal today you can bike
along it using the paths that where originally made for the animals
pulling the barges.
A wonderful ride that we start always in Penfield and end in Pittsford,
where there are different places where you can eat lunch ore a snack. Or
option number two we go the other way to Macedon where we do a picnic.
A nice day of relax in the green.
